Jenny Applegate, LCSW
Jenny brings an open, nonjudgmental and collaborative approach to her counseling sessions. She draws from multiple treatment orientations in her work, including cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques.
Throughout her career, Jenny has spent multiple years providing clinical social work and mental health services to a wide variety of clients. She has worked in various hospital-based settings including emergency departments, labor and delivery, and neonatal intensive care units. Additionally, Jenny has extensive experience working with grief, bereavement and chronic illness, including HIV/AIDS and dementia, as well as providing support to family caregivers experiencing loss.
Practicing from an intersectional feminist and anti-oppressive lens, she utilizes evidence-based treatment strategies to assist her clients in making meaningful change. Jenny is a proponent of body positivity and the Health At Every Size (HAES) movement.
When not seeing clients, Jenny is a licensed Zumba Instructor and enjoys dance and yoga. Jenny is an LGBTQIA+ affirming provider.
